The story behind this piece

Leonardo measured the human figure against a circle and a square. Proportio keeps the construction — the great circle, the square, the scale bars and the reach-lines — and replaces the figure with a sixteen-ray compass star in gold: you, at the centre of your own measure. In the margin, in mirror writing, the plate's note to itself: misura il tuo sogno — measure your dream.
